Apple has launched a new subscription service in the UK called AppleCare One, following its introduction in the US last year. This service allows British customers to protect up to three eligible devices, such as iPhones, iPads, Macs, and Apple Watches, under a single plan for £16.99 per month. Apple will repair or replace devices that are accidentally damaged, lost, or stolen, offering up to three replacement devices per year for each claim.

AppleCare One enhances the existing AppleCare+ by providing coverage for multiple products with a single subscription, rather than separate plans. This consolidation can result in significant savings, with Apple stating that customers covering an iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch could save up to £11.48 per month compared to individual AppleCare+ plans.

A notable advantage of AppleCare One is the flexibility to add eligible devices up to four years old to the plan, as long as they are in good condition. This extended window for device coverage surpasses the usual 60-day limit for purchasing AppleCare+ after buying a new device.

The subscription also seamlessly adjusts when upgrading devices. If a covered device is traded in for a new one from Apple, the old product is automatically removed from the plan, and the new device is added without additional complexity.

Apple’s Vice President of Worldwide Product Marketing, Bob Borchers, emphasized that AppleCare One offers a simplified and flexible approach to device protection, providing peace of mind to UK customers with the convenience of one plan, one price, and comprehensive coverage for all eligible products.
