Cleveland Police, responding to Rhys’ tragic passing, reported receiving news of the eight-year-old’s death from the North East Ambulance Service on September 15. The circumstances surrounding the child’s death are under investigation and treated as unexplained. A 40-year-old woman was arrested in connection with the incident.
