A new TV judge is making waves as CBS Media Ventures recently unveiled a trailer for “Adam’s Law,” a syndicated daytime courtroom series featuring Adam Levy, the son of the renowned Judge Judy. Fans of Judge Judy’s sharp wit and no-nonsense approach are in for a treat as Levy appears to bring the same energy to the courtroom, showcasing quick-witted remarks reminiscent of his famous mother.
Despite initial reservations, Judge Judy admits in the trailer that she wouldn’t have encouraged her son to take on the show years ago because she wasn’t ready to pass the gavel. However, she acknowledges Levy’s talent and humorously expresses her reluctance to be outshone by him.
Set to premiere on September 14, the series, executive produced by Judge Judy herself, follows the success of the original “Judge Judy” show, which ended five years ago after 25 seasons. With more than 25 years of legal experience, including serving as a district attorney, Levy emphasizes the importance of truthfulness in his courtroom.
Confident in her son’s abilities, Judge Judy believes “Adam’s Law” will become a top daytime program, citing his entertaining personality, legal acumen, and excellent recall. Levy, who has previous experience in courtroom reality TV, is poised to continue his family’s legacy with the show airing on various CBS-owned stations in the U.S. and in Canada on Citytv starting September 14.
