Three individuals have been taken into custody after a shooting incident at a Birmingham nightclub, leaving one man in critical condition and three others with less severe injuries. The altercation took place at Mango nightclub on Bristol Street early Saturday morning. The West Midlands Police apprehended the suspects, aged in their 20s and 30s, on the M6 in Warwickshire shortly after the incident. They are currently detained on suspicion of violent behavior as the investigation progresses.
Acting Chief Inspector Michael Clarke emphasized the importance of gathering information from witnesses or individuals with potential dashcam footage of the incident, given the busy location of the nightclub. The investigation is progressing swiftly, with ongoing efforts to identify all parties involved. The police have cordoned off Bristol Street, a major route into Birmingham city center, and advised motorists to avoid the area. Additional police patrols will be deployed in the vicinity to ensure public safety following the shooting.
