Wetherspoon has kicked off its January Sale today at 600 of its pubs, offering a pint of beer for as low as 99p. The discounted drinks lineup includes Worthington’s beer at 99p per pint, Coldwater Creek wine for £2.99 per 250ml glass, Johnnie Walker Black Label (25ml with mixer) at £1.99, and Tanqueray gin (25ml with mixer) at £1.99.
Apart from alcoholic beverages, the sale also features a variety of low-alcohol and alcohol-free options such as Guinness 0.0, Corona Cero, Brewdog Punk AF, and more, all priced at £1.69 each. Additionally, Beck’s Blue and Sanpellegrino Aranciata Rossa are available for 99p each. Customers can enjoy discounts on food items like an 11-inch Margherita pizza or a chicken burger with chips for £4.99 with a soft drink, or £6.52 with an alcoholic beverage.
For those craving jacket potatoes, there is a choice of six fillings for £4.99 with a soft drink, or £6.52 with an alcoholic drink. Additional fillings or side salads can be added for 99p each. Moreover, new gourmet jacket potatoes are introduced, priced at £6.49 with a soft drink and £8.02 with an alcoholic drink.
The loaded spud comes with cheese, maple-cured bacon, garlic butter, and sour cream, while the Mexican spud offers a vegetarian option loaded with chili bean non-carne, cheese, guacamole, and more. Another option, the smoky potato, is topped with pulled BBQ beef brisket, cheese, chipotle mayo, and sliced chillies.
Wetherspoon’s founder and chairman, Tim Martin, mentioned that the January Sale aligns with the tradition of sales happening in stores during this period. He emphasized the wide selection of drinks and food available to cater to various tastes, including a range of low and non-alcoholic beverages. The sale will run from January 2 in most pubs and from January 3 in Scotland until January 15, excluding around 200 venues where prices may vary.
