A high-ranking Russian official has issued new threats towards the United Kingdom, outlining specific targets within the country. Dmitry Rogozin, a senator with a military background who previously served as deputy premier and head of the space agency, has warned of planned attacks on numerous British defense-related locations. He has disclosed a map highlighting 23 defense sites, encompassing both military and industrial facilities across all four regions of the UK.

Rogozin obtained the map from a UK government policy document titled ‘Defence Industrial Strategy 2025: Making Defence an Engine for Growth’. This warning follows remarks by former British defense secretary Ben Wallace, who advocated for actions to render Crimea uninhabitable and unsustainable from a Russian perspective.

In response to Wallace’s statements urging measures against Crimea, Rogozin shared the map to emphasize the seriousness of the situation. He suggested that Ukraine, with support from its NATO partners, should acquire long-range capabilities to make Crimea inhospitable. Rogozin also cautioned Russian oligarchs against sending their children to study in England, citing potential risks.

A known propagandist, Solovyov, linked to Kremlin narratives, mentioned Rogozin’s actions, emphasizing potential destruction of British targets. Solovyov disparaged Wallace, labeling him negatively and threatened to deploy Russia’s Poseidon underwater nuclear drone against Britain, asserting the insignificance of the country.

Furthermore, Solovyov criticized Wallace for his political failures and aspirations, highlighting past ambitions to lead NATO. These events unfolded shortly after Russian state TV hinted at a potential terrorist operation targeting a World War II shipwreck filled with explosives in the Thames estuary. Allegations surfaced regarding British involvement in disabling Kremlin oil refineries, prompting a retaliatory strike threat by Russian special forces.

Historian Dr. Andrey Sidorov raised concerns about the SS Richard Montgomery shipwreck, containing 1,400 tonnes of active explosives. Sidorov suggested potential catastrophic consequences if the wreck were disturbed, hinting at possible flooding of coastal areas. Amidst these tensions, the situation remains volatile with threats and provocations from various parties involved.
