He has decided to cancel the remaining stops of his American tour as the investigation into the teenager’s murder progresses. A spokesperson for the singer confirmed his commitment to assisting law enforcement during their inquiry.
The 20-year-old singer had scheduled performances in San Francisco and Los Angeles, which have now been called off. Additionally, he is expected to skip an upcoming event at the Grammy Museum in Downtown Los Angeles dedicated to his album, Withered.
Law enforcement officials searched a residence where D4vd had been residing, which is reportedly rented by his manager, according to TMZ. The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) executed a search warrant at the location in connection with Celeste Rivas Hernandez’s death, recovering several pieces of evidence for further analysis.
The LAPD released a statement confirming the search and ongoing investigation. Detectives are pursuing various leads and have requested the public’s assistance in providing any relevant information. Celeste, who went missing from Lake Elsinor, California, in April 2024, was found in the trunk of the Tesla belonging to D4vd, also known as David Anthony Burke.
The vehicle, registered in Texas, was located in the Hollywood Hills area after being abandoned for five days. Celeste’s mother identified the body based on distinctive characteristics, including a tattoo on her finger and specific clothing items. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner disclosed the teenager’s attire at the time of her discovery.
Celeste’s mother has claimed that her daughter had a boyfriend named David, implying a potential connection to the singer. D4vd, popular on Instagram with approximately 2 million followers, had previously mentioned the name ‘Celeste’ in an unreleased song, which had been released on SoundCloud in 2023.
