RCMP in Rankin Inlet, Nunavut, have arrested and charged a man with three firearm-related offenses following reports of gunshots in the area. The incident occurred on August 9 around 8:30 a.m. when officers were alerted to a gunshot and observed a man carrying a firearm inside a residence on 68th Street. The RCMP promptly took the individual into custody later that morning.
The man has been charged with the reckless discharge of a firearm, illegal storage of a loaded firearm, and negligent use of a firearm. His upcoming court appearance is scheduled for August 17.
