Cabinet members Wes Streeting and Lisa Nandy delivered a spirited performance of Oasis’ hit song “Don’t Look Back in Anger” at the well-known Mirror party during the Labour Party Conference. Health Secretary Mr. Streeting and Culture Secretary Ms. Nandy, along with former shadow minister Jonathan Ashworth, showcased their karaoke skills on stage.

The event commenced with Justice Minister Alex Davies-Jones moving the audience with a heartfelt rendition of “You’ll Never Walk Alone,” accompanied by Hillsborough campaigners. Margaret Aspinall, who lost her son in the 1989 tragedy, passionately advocated for a new law to prevent cover-ups without dilution.

The annual tradition, in collaboration with InHouse Communications and featuring drinks by Diageo, took place following the Prime Minister’s speech. The festive atmosphere saw Mr. Streeting belting out “Don’t Let the Sun Go Down on Me” joined by Labour MP Oliver Ryan, while other politicians and media personnel took their turns on stage, including Mark Ferguson singing Pulp’s “Common People” and Housing Secretary Steve Reed crooning “Sweet Caroline.”

The party, attended by hundreds of guests at the conference center in Liverpool, continued late into the night with attendees enjoying the entertainment. Notably, the iconic Mirror Chicken, known for its interactions with politicians, displayed some dance moves at the event.
