Investors Sue Selena Gomez Over Mental Health Startup

Published on

Singer and actress Selena Gomez is facing a lawsuit from investors who allege she engaged in fraudulent activities by failing to fulfill her obligations in developing and promoting her mental health startup. The investors had put in approximately $1.2 million into Wondermind Global, a venture launched in 2021 aimed at enhancing users’ “mental fitness,” as stated in the lawsuit filed in federal court in Delaware.

Investors claim they were promised that Gomez, a prominent figure on social media with over 500 million followers, would play a significant role in the company’s development as the head of marketing. However, they argue that Gomez and other company executives did not uphold their commitments, such as the creation of a mobile application.

The lawsuit alleges that Gomez entered into a contract to perform certain duties but failed to adhere to it. The plaintiffs assert that the company did not have a viable business plan and did not meet essential obligations, such as timely payments to employees and vendors.

A spokesperson for Gomez has not yet responded to requests for comment. The lawsuit reveals that the investors were unaware of the company’s challenges until a news report surfaced online in September 2025. The plaintiffs are seeking to recover their investments along with legal expenses incurred.
