Joanna Page, known for her role in the popular show Gavin & Stacey, revealed in her upcoming autobiography an unsettling encounter with a TV host who groped her despite warnings from a female producer. In her book titled “Lush! My Story – From Swansea To Stacey And Everything In Between,” the 48-year-old actress shared the distressing incident without directly naming the individual involved, following advice from her legal team.
Recalling the moment, Joanna mentioned how she was cautioned by the producer about the host’s tendency to be “very handsy,” which made her apprehensive even before meeting him. True to the warning, during filming, the host began touching her inappropriately, prompting Joanna to react swiftly by confronting him and demanding he stop, leading to an immediate halt to the unwanted behavior.
In an interview with The Times to promote her autobiography, Joanna also humorously recounted accidentally passing gas in front of Johnny Depp and shared a candid story about having to relieve herself in a plastic bag in a car park due to having her young children with her. She highlighted how such experiences have shaped her outlook on facing challenging situations, using them as a benchmark for assessing the severity of nerve-wracking moments.
Aside from her acting career, Joanna co-hosted the BBC podcast Off The Telly and appeared in notable films like From Hell (2001) and Love Actually (2003). Her autobiography, “Lush!: My Story – From Swansea To Stacey And Everything In Between,” is set to be released on September 25.
