Amanda Holden enlisted some of her closest friends to participate in a celebrity evening spin-off of her new BBC daytime quiz show, The Inner Circle. Her actor companions, Sarah Parish, Tamzin Outhwaite, and Fay Ripley, traveled to Scotland to join the new six-episode show, where a star-studded lineup competes to outsmart each other and assist their non-celebrity partners in winning substantial cash rewards.
Describing the experience as enjoyable, Amanda shared that her friends fully engaged in the game, which not only tests contestants’ knowledge but also their ability to trust others. The program has been likened to a quiz version of The Traitors, focusing on mystery and betrayal as contestants tackle various challenges to accumulate a prize pot.
Participants must rely on trust and strategic decisions to determine their winnings, with the added twist of potential backstabbing at the end. Amanda expressed delight in having her inner circle, including Sarah Parish, Tamzin Outhwaite, and Fay Ripley, on the show, emphasizing their genuine gameplay and lack of deceit.
The celebrity lineup also featured personalities like Charlotte Hawkins, Colin Jackson, Danielle Harold, Jeff Brazier, JB Gill, Zara McDermott, and Ricky Wilson. Each regular player was paired with a celebrity and assigned a secret cash value, leading to strategic gameplay to reveal each pair’s worth.
Impressed by the competitive spirit of the participants, Amanda praised the stars’ performances, including TV personalities like Kaye Adams and sports ace Sam Quek. The daytime show, along with the celebrity editions, is set to premiere on BBC1 in October.
