A 20-year-old man from Cambridge, Ontario, is facing charges in connection with a case involving the transportation of cocaine from Canada to Hong Kong. Authorities have accused him of exporting a Schedule 1 substance and conspiring to commit a serious offense. The individual appeared in a Kitchener court for a bail hearing last Friday. The Waterloo Regional Police Service initiated an investigation in September 2025 after a 20-year-old woman from Cambridge was apprehended at Hong Kong International Airport with 25 kilograms of suspected cocaine in her possession. Recently, local law enforcement, in collaboration with various agencies, arrested a man from Markham, Ontario, linked to the alleged drug operation that reportedly assisted the Cambridge woman in traveling from Toronto to Hong Kong. The investigation remains ongoing.
