An Israeli official has disclosed that Tommy Robinson, known for his far-right views, has been invited to visit Israel, being hailed as a valuable supporter. Amichai Chikli, Israel’s Minister of Diaspora and Combating Antisemitism, announced the upcoming visit of the “British patriot” on behalf of the state. This announcement came shortly after a terror incident took place outside a synagogue in Manchester.

Chikli emphasized Israel’s solidarity with the UK and the Jewish community in the wake of the recent attack near the Heaton Park Hebrew Congregation Synagogue in Crumpsall. He praised Tommy Robinson for his outspoken stance against radical Islam, describing him as a true friend of Israel and the Jewish people who fearlessly opposes hatred and speaks the truth.

The tragic incident outside the synagogue, which occurred on Yom Kippur, the holiest day in the Jewish calendar, involved a suspect named Jihad Al-Shamie, who was fatally shot by armed police at the scene. Authorities are investigating the possibility of extremist influences on the attacker, and six individuals have been arrested in connection with terrorism-related offenses.

Regrettably, worshippers Adrian Daulby and Melvin Cravitz, a security guard, lost their lives in the attack. They were remembered by their communities as caring individuals. Additionally, during the incident, armed police accidentally shot Mr. Daulby and another bystander while attempting to prevent the attacker from entering the synagogue. An inquiry into the matter will be conducted by the Independent Office for Police Conduct.
