Virgin Media is providing a complimentary upgrade to all its internet users in the UK through a new service known as Smart Support. This service, available 24/7, is designed to ensure seamless operations throughout the year.
Smart Support automatically monitors broadband coverage and promptly assists customers facing speed or connectivity issues. Users receive immediate suggestions to troubleshoot any identified problems, aiming to prevent disruptions that could affect online activities like streaming or remote work.
Additionally, Virgin Media can remotely address issues overnight, such as applying updates or repairs while customers are asleep to minimize daytime disturbances. In cases where a customer may benefit from a WiFi Pod or Hub upgrade for enhanced whole-home coverage, the service will proactively offer solutions. Customers can also request an engineer at no extra charge for more severe issues.
Gareth Lister, Director of Connectivity at Virgin Media O2, emphasized the importance of reliable connectivity and the role of Smart Support in quickly resolving network issues to ensure uninterrupted service. Virgin Media is implementing Smart Support for all its customers as a standard feature without any additional fees.
