Just in time for holiday TV marathons, Virgin Media TV users are in for a treat with the addition of two new free channels. The telecom company has unveiled the launch of Stingray Classica (Ch296) and Stingray DJAZZ (Ch297), known as FAST channels, providing a wide range of musical content such as premieres, concerts, films, and artist interviews. These channels broadcast round the clock, ensuring viewers have entertainment at any hour they tune in.
Curious about what’s on offer? Here’s a glimpse of what you can enjoy at no extra cost.
Stingray Classica (Ch296) caters to classical music, opera, and ballet enthusiasts with a diverse selection of content. With 50 yearly world premieres from renowned venues like concert halls and opera houses, the channel also showcases top-notch documentaries, exclusive classical music shows, and weekly debuts.
For jazz aficionados, Stingray DJAZZ (Ch297) delivers a blend of jazz concerts, films, profiles, and documentaries from various festivals and venues. Additionally, viewers can delve into artist features, interviews, and behind-the-scenes coverage.
These new music channels complement Virgin’s existing lineup of 32 FAST channels, including British Screen Classics, U&Transport, Inside Crime, and Haunt TV, all accessible through Virgin’s set-top boxes via the Electronic Programme Guide (EPG).
David Bouchier, the Chief TV and Entertainment Officer at Virgin Media O2, expressed enthusiasm about the addition, stating, “We are introducing two fresh FAST channels to enhance our customers’ entertainment experience with the best offerings from Virgin TV. By continuously expanding our channel selection, we aim to provide tailored content that appeals to a broad audience, as evident in these latest additions.”
