A tragic incident unfolded on Valentine’s Day outside a pub in Knockholt, Kent, where a woman, Lisa Smith, was fatally shot by her husband, Edward Smith. Lisa, 43, had expressed her intention to leave the relationship to her sister earlier that day. She had traveled from Slough, Berkshire, to Kent to seek refuge with family.

Upon locating Lisa at The Three Horseshoes pub, Edward blocked her car in the parking lot and proceeded to shoot her multiple times with a handgun. Tragically, Lisa succumbed to her injuries, leading to her untimely death. Following the shooting, Edward, also known as Edvard Stockings, sent voice messages confessing to the act before taking his own life by jumping from a bridge in Dartford.

The sequence of events was detailed during the inquest, where it was revealed that Edward confronted Lisa and her companions at the pub, leading to a verbal altercation. Despite attempts to escape, Edward prevented their departure by blocking their vehicle. Subsequently, he fired multiple shots, resulting in fatal injuries to Lisa.

Despite efforts from bystanders and emergency responders to save Lisa, she tragically passed away from the gunshot wounds.
