“Tyson Fury Backtracks Retirement, Predicts Moses Itauma Victory”

Published on

Boxing enthusiasts are abuzz with Tyson Fury’s recent acknowledgment that Moses Itauma could overpower him in a potential showdown in the ring. After facing consecutive losses to Ukrainian fighter Usyk last year, relinquishing his world championship title and failing to recapture it in their rematch, Fury initially announced his retirement but later reversed his decision to make a comeback next year.

On the other hand, Usyk recently defeated Daniel Dubois in a fifth-round stoppage at Wembley, expressing his intention to have one final fight before retiring. Fury took to social media over the weekend to predict that emerging British talent Moses Itauma, who dominated Dillian Whyte in a recent match, would triumph over Usyk. He emphasized his extensive boxing experience and success in the sport, asserting that young fighters like Itauma have the advantage over older competitors.

Fury’s bold statements sparked reactions from boxing fans, with some suggesting he may be harboring bitterness over his losses to Usyk. Itauma, however, refrained from directly challenging Usyk, citing a lack of entitlement to face him but expressing interest in competing against other deserving opponents like Agit Kabayel or Joseph Parker in the future.

The boxing community remains intrigued by the potential matchups and the dynamics between seasoned champions and up-and-coming talents in the sport.
