Sky has surprised viewers by announcing the revival of its beloved channel, Sky One. The channel, a fan favorite, is set to make a comeback later this month after being taken off the air in 2021. Sky promises a lineup of irresistible comedy and entertainment shows, including new programs like “The Dyers’ Caravan Park” and “Gemma Collins: Four Weddings and a Baby.”

Popular favorites such as “Rob & Romesh Vs..,” “The Paper,” and “Ted” will also be featured on the channel, which will be located on channel 106. Additionally, Sky One will debut “Saturday Night Live UK” later this year, replacing Sky Showcase and Sky Max to consolidate a diverse range of entertainment options in one place for easier access to must-watch television.

Carli Kerr, the Managing Director of Sky TV & NOW, expressed, “Our aim is to enhance the viewing experience for Sky TV customers by offering a seamless way to discover and enjoy their favorite shows.” Building on the legacy of Sky One, the channel promises to be a unique hub of entertainment with exclusive Sky Originals like “The Dyers’ Caravan Park” and returning favorites like “Rob & Romesh Vs.,” while also being the home of the highly anticipated “Saturday Night Live UK.”

Sky One is scheduled to launch on channel 106 on Tuesday, February 24. This announcement coincides with Sky’s recent confirmation of a major upcoming event, as teased in an invitation to Mirror Online stating, “Big things are coming to Sky TV. Join us to find out more.”

The anticipation surrounding the event is high, with Sky typically reserving in-person launches for significant reveals. Speculation is rife about what surprises Sky might unveil during the event. Mirror Online will be present at the event in London’s West End to provide live updates as the news unfolds, with the announcement expected to commence at approximately 10 am on February 11.
