Revolut has launched a new mobile service in the UK, offering substantial savings on monthly bills for consumers. The service, known as Revolut Mobile, provides unlimited 5G data, calls, and texts for just £12.50 per month, significantly undercutting similar plans from major UK networks like EE and Vodafone, which currently charge £25 monthly for comparable services.
One key advantage of the Revolut deal is the inclusion of 20GB of roaming data across the EU and the United States at no extra cost, making it an attractive option for frequent travelers. Users can enjoy seamless connectivity in popular cities such as Paris, Berlin, New York, and Los Angeles without incurring additional charges, a feature that many UK networks still impose, especially for US travel.
In addition to these benefits, Revolut Mobile offers a Messaging Pass for global messaging in over 80 countries, enabling low-bandwidth data usage for platforms like WhatsApp. Customers can also link up to three phone numbers to a single plan for better management of work, personal, and travel lines. Furthermore, each subscription comes with a complimentary NordVPN membership for secure and private browsing.
The service is currently being introduced to waitlisted customers, with full public availability expected by January 2026. While Revolut’s foray into the mobile market is ambitious, industry experts caution that success is not guaranteed. Analysts highlight the need for strong execution in combining banking and mobile services, emphasizing the competitive nature of the MVNO market and the challenges associated with customer switching.
Despite these hurdles, Revolut remains confident in its ability to rival established networks like EE, Vodafone, and O2. Hadi Nasrallah, General Manager of Telco at Revolut, underscored the company’s commitment to offering a unique and innovative alternative in the industry.
