Reality TV personalities Charlotte Crosby and Lateysha Grace were shocked to discover that their baby monitors had been hacked, allowing unknown individuals to watch them breastfeeding their infants. Lateysha, known for her appearances on MTV’s The Valleys and Big Brother in 2016, expressed her concern after hearing a strange voice through the monitor, prompting her to share the unsettling experience on social media.
In a similar encounter, Charlotte Crosby, from Geordie Shore, revealed her alarm at the possibility of baby monitor hacking, echoing Lateysha’s experience. She emphasized the seriousness of the issue, stating that hackers could access the live feed and observe mothers breastfeeding, describing it as a distressing violation of privacy.
Mama Academy, a parenting website, issued guidance for parents worried about monitor security, advising them to change default login credentials, secure home Wi-Fi networks with strong passwords, and consider using separate networks for baby monitors. Updating firmware, enabling encryption, and monitoring network activity were also recommended to safeguard against potential hacking threats.
