Buckingham Palace has released a statement addressing reported tensions between royal staff and US Secret Service agents during a recent state visit.
The state banquet, attended by prominent figures from the US and UK at Windsor Castle during President Trump’s visit, was deemed successful. Trump, expressing gratitude for the invitation, praised King Charles and his family.
Despite the outward success, rumors circulated of a rift between royal staff and US agents. Allegedly, tensions arose as US agents closely monitored food preparation in the royal kitchen. However, Palace sources have refuted these claims as untrue.
An unnamed source mentioned behind-the-scenes disruption as chefs felt pressured by the US security team’s scrutiny of the food. The Palace denied these allegations, calling them baseless. The reported three-course meal included watercress panna cotta, Norfolk chicken ballotine, and a vanilla ice cream bombe dessert.
Additionally, a special cocktail named the Transatlantic Whiskey Sour was served, featuring Johnny Walker Black whiskey, marmalade, pecan cream, and a toasted marshmallow garnish.
