Initially planning a brief stay in Labrador before heading to Newfoundland, the couple ended up spending nearly a month in Labrador due to the captivating experiences and connections made with locals.
MacLean expressed their reluctance to leave Labrador, highlighting the warmth of the people they encountered and the insights gained about the region’s lifestyle. Documenting their travels on their YouTube channel, Way of the Roads, the duo showcases their adventures across different provinces, using a drone to capture breathtaking views. Recent videos feature their exploration of Newfoundland and Labrador, including visits to scenic spots like Bell Island, the Baccalieu Trail, Gros Morne, and the abandoned theme park Trinity Loop.
Their Labrador episodes showcase encounters with icebergs and wildlife, as well as their journey along the Trans-Labrador Highway. With 138 videos and 23,000 subscribers on their YouTube page, MacLean and Heddle have been actively engaging with their online audience. The couple’s relationship blossomed during the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic, leading them to share a passion for outdoor activities that eventually inspired their decision to embark on this adventurous lifestyle.
