A tragic incident occurred at a bustling scrapyard in Manchester where a man lost his life due to a car falling on him. The victim, a man in his 40s whose identity remains undisclosed, was declared deceased after emergency responders rushed to J Davidson on Atlantic Street, Trafford, in the Broadheath area of Altrincham on a Wednesday afternoon. Following the event, Greater Manchester Police (GMP) initiated an investigation, leading to the closure of the road for inquiries.
Authorities have confirmed that investigations into the circumstances surrounding the man’s untimely demise are currently ongoing. Notably, the victim was not an employee of J Davidson but worked for a company based in Lithuania.
In response to the incident, an air ambulance was observed landing at the yard. J Davidson, the scrap firm involved, expressed their deep condolences to the family and loved ones of the deceased, emphasizing their support during this difficult time. The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) also stated that they are collaborating with the police in light of the situation.

Sadly, a man in his 40s was pronounced dead. Enquiries are currently ongoing.” Following the response from emergency services, Craven Road, which had been temporarily closed off, has since been reopened.
