A 17-year-old teenager is accused of committing multiple sexual assaults on women during a two-hour period while using public transportation in London. Authorities are seeking witnesses to provide information regarding a series of incidents that took place on Friday evening within the city’s transport network.
The first alleged assault occurred around 4.40pm on September 5 at Harlesden Underground station on a Bakerloo line train. Subsequently, the suspect reportedly carried out additional attacks on two women aboard a Thameslink train and at the Blackfriars railway station platform shortly after the initial incident.
The purported offenses continued with another assault on a woman on a Thameslink train heading towards St Pancras railway station at approximately 6.40pm, followed by a fifth incident at West Hampstead Thameslink station around 7.00pm.
British Transport Police have announced an arrest in connection with these incidents and are currently conducting further investigations. They are urging anyone who witnessed the events or may have been victims themselves to come forward.
In a statement, the police mentioned that the initial incident involved a woman being sexually assaulted by the teenager on a Bakerloo line train at Harlesden Underground station around 4.40pm on Friday, September 5. The suspect then allegedly proceeded to assault two more women on a Thameslink train and at the Blackfriars railway station platform. Subsequent incidents involved assaults on a woman aboard a Thameslink train towards St Pancras railway station at 6.40pm and another woman at West Hampstead Thameslink station at 7.00pm.
