Jimmy Kimmel is reportedly upset about ABC’s decision to cancel his late-night show indefinitely. The show, “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”, was dropped after Kimmel made controversial comments regarding Charlie Kirk’s assassination, which ABC-affiliated stations found inappropriate. Sources say Kimmel, who has been with the show since 2003, is angry about the suspension and is seeking ways to terminate his contract with ABC.
Kimmel’s remarks, including criticism of the reaction from some in the “MAGA” community to Kirk’s murder, were labeled offensive and insensitive by Nexstar Communications Group. Despite ABC’s swift action, Kimmel has not publicly responded. President Donald Trump commended ABC for their decision on Truth Social.
With Kimmel’s contract ending in May next year, there are speculations that he is exploring options to exit the agreement. He is expected to appear on Stephen Colbert’s show soon, as both hosts share a stance against the Trump administration. Reports suggest that Kimmel and Colbert may collaborate to advocate for their beliefs.
The individual involved in Kirk’s case, Tyler Robinson, was described as someone who transitioned from a conservative upbringing to embracing leftist principles, according to his parents.
