Authorities have revealed that three women were brutally raped, tortured, and murdered in a live broadcast on Instagram.

An investigation is underway after it was disclosed that approximately 45 individuals witnessed the cruel acts, including the amputation of one woman’s fingers and the suffocation of another with a plastic bag within a closed group on the social media platform.

The victims have been identified as Lara Gutierrez, 15, Brenda del Castillo, 20, and Morena Verdi, 21. Reports indicate that the women were lured to a secluded location near Buenos Aires under false pretenses by a narcotics syndicate, accused of theft.

The women were subjected to torment and murder in what is being characterized as a retaliatory measure allegedly orchestrated by the gang leader. The crime leader, a Peruvian national who has reportedly fled the country, purportedly ordered the heinous acts as a warning to others.

Javier Alonso, the security minister of Buenos Aires, confirmed that the disturbing events were filmed and broadcast live online to a select group. He stated, “It was for a closed group of around 45 people. That’s the information we have obtained so far from the investigation. It is relevant to the motive for the murders, which is that the leader of the gang is saying: ‘This is what happens to you if you steal drugs from me.’”

The bodies of the three young women were discovered five days after their disappearance, buried in a garden. Four individuals have been arrested in connection with the crimes, and efforts to apprehend the masterminds are progressing.

The horrifying incident has been labeled a “narco act of revenge,” with reports suggesting that the victims were targeted due to allegations of stealing cocaine from the gang. The details of the atrocities committed against each woman have shocked the community.

A prosecutor described it as “the most sordid and horrifying case we have ever had to deal with.” Following the discovery of the victims, an appeal for information was made by a family member, highlighting the tragic loss and seeking justice for the deceased.

Law enforcement has made multiple arrests, including individuals linked to the crime scene. Contrary to initial reports, it was clarified that the live stream of the torture and murders occurred on Instagram, not TikTok, as previously suggested.
