A professional adept at lip-reading has provided insights into the intense conversation between Donald Trump and Melania Trump that gained widespread attention. The video capturing the former US President and First Lady engaged in a tense discussion aboard Marine One on the South Lawn has gone viral on social media, drawing comparisons to a similar incident involving Emmanuel Macron and Brigitte.
In the footage, Trump can be seen gesturing towards Melania, who responds with a head shake. Lip-reading specialist Jeremy Freeman has offered his analysis of the exchange, suggesting that Trump was likely discussing the “escalator-gate” incident at the United Nations General Assembly instead of expressing frustration towards Melania.
According to Jeremy, Melania seemingly said, “You just continued…” to which Trump responded, “It was unbelievable.” Melania then replied, “Just say it and leave it..” Trump, appearing surprised, retorted, “How can you do that…” The couple later disembarked from the helicopter and walked hand in hand across the lawn.
Body language expert Judi James noted that despite the apparent tension in the conversation, Melania was smiling as she shook her head, indicating a potentially lighter context to the interaction. The escalator incident at the UN General Assembly, where Trump humorously commented on avoiding a mishap, also garnered attention.
Earlier, Trump had shared advice with the Macrons following a viral video of Brigitte pushing Emmanuel Macron. When asked for marital advice between world leaders, Trump humorously responded, “Make sure the door remains closed,” emphasizing that he knew the Macrons well and believed they were fine.
