In a surprising revelation upon her return to social media, an influencer, Kristina Ozturk, who amassed a substantial following online, has made a startling commitment. Kristina, aged 27, is married to businessman Galip Ozturk, a millionaire with a criminal past. Galip, previously incarcerated for drug-related offenses, was released from prison in July after serving two years of an eight-year sentence. He had a prior conviction for allegedly orchestrating the murder of an employee in Istanbul in 1996.
Originally from the Ayvacık district of Samsun, born in 1965, Galip is the founder of Metro Tourism, a prominent intercity passenger transportation company in Turkey. Fleeing to Georgia in 2018 after an appeals court upheld his life sentence, he sought a fresh start.
Kristina, a Russian national, has declared her intention to expand their already sizeable family with more children alongside her husband. Between March 2020 and July 2021, the couple paid £133,000 ($180,000) to surrogates, resulting in a large family comprising 22 children, including Victoria, Mustafa, Maryam, Ayrin, Alice, Hassan, Judy, Harper, Teresa, Hussein, Anna, Isabella, Ismail, Mehmet, Ahmet, Ali, Kristina, Alena, Sarah, Lockman, Alparslan, and Olivia.
Despite already having a substantial number of children, the Ozturk couple is contemplating having over 100 offspring. Kristina revealed in a 2021 interview that her desire for a large family stemmed from childhood dreams shared with her husband. She expressed gratitude to their surrogacy clinic for supporting their dream of a large family.
Although assisted by nannies, Kristina emphasized that she fulfills typical maternal duties, highlighting the only difference being the sheer number of children. The couple has decided to delay further surrogacy efforts until their existing children are older.
Galip, sentenced to eight years in prison in 2023 for drug-related offenses, celebrated his release with Kristina on Instagram. They commemorated the occasion with a lavish party at their residence in Batumi, where their love story began. Turkish media reported Galip’s release from prison under supervised conditions on June 30, detailing his past evasion from Turkish authorities to Georgia following his life sentence confirmation in 1996.
