“Google Pixel 9 Deals: Free Accessories with Contracts”

Published on

Google enthusiasts were eagerly awaiting the launch of the new Pixel 10 smartphone, but a compelling offer from the tech giant may persuade customers to opt for the slightly older model. Google’s annual Made by Google event took place on August 20 in New York City, where it unveiled its latest Pixel devices, including phones, watches, and earbuds.

Leading up to the event, retailers slashed prices on the Pixel 9 range to entice shoppers into purchasing the 2024 model. Despite the recent release of the Pixel 10, one of the standout deals is from Currys-affiliated retailer Mobiles.co.uk, which is bundling free Google accessories with orders of the Google Pixel 9.

Customers can receive Pixel Buds A Series, Pixel Buds Pro 2, and a Pixel Watch 3 when signing up for specific 24-month contracts. The Pixel Buds A are included in various plans, such as iD Mobile’s £24.99 per month deal, which also offers 100GB of data for a £59 upfront fee.

There is an option to increase the monthly cost to £27.99 to reduce the upfront cost to £9, but this results in an extra £22 over the plan’s duration. For the Google Pixel Buds Pro 2, a notable deal is the iD Mobile £28.99 plan, offering 100GB of data with a £9 upfront cost.

Customers interested in a complimentary Pixel Watch 3 (41mm) can opt for iD Mobile’s £28.99 plan, providing 100GB of data with a £59 upfront cost. The free gift will be shipped with the handset to the specified address at checkout, but the offer is subject to availability.

It is important to note that iD Mobile, like many providers, increases prices annually in April in line with inflation. The company has already outlined upcoming changes, with the £24.99 plan increasing to £26.49 from April 2026 and £27.99 from April 1, 2027.

Considering the £59 upfront cost, the total amount paid over 24 months sums up to £715.76. However, those preferring to buy the handset outright can currently find a better deal elsewhere, as the unlocked Google Pixel 9 256GB has dropped from £899 to £597 on Amazon – a significant £302 discount.

According to price tracker camelcamelcamel, this is the lowest price ever recorded for the device. Alternatively, Sky Mobile offers another option, with the 128GB variant priced at £21 monthly plus a £12 upfront cost over a 36-month contract, which must be paired with a Sky data package ranging from £0 for 100MB to £20 for unlimited.

The Google Pixel 9 has received positive reviews on Amazon, holding a 4.4-star rating. Satisfied users have praised its quality, camera performance, and user-friendly interface. However, some users have noted limitations such as the absence of an SD card slot for memory expansion.
