Gen V returns to Prime Video for its second season, a satirical superhero show that branches off from The Boys.
Portraying Emma Meyer, also known as Little Cricket for her ability to shrink through “purging” or eating, is Lizze Broadway.
The 27-year-old actress, originally named Elizabeth Broadway, has appeared in various productions such as The Rookie, Splitting Up Together, and Here and Now. She kickstarted her acting journey in the crime series Southland as Brooks Ryerson and later joined the ensemble of Shameless.
Broadway earned a nomination for Best Performance in a TV Series at the 35th Young Artist Awards for her role in Bones in 2013. Notably, she made a brief appearance in NCIS in 2018 as Mandy in the episode Family Ties.
Hailing from Toledo, Ohio, Broadway relocated to Los Angeles with her family at the age of nine. Initially pursuing acting as a hobby, she quickly found success landing guest spots in prominent series like Chicago PD and Bones.
Fans of Gen V have lauded her portrayal as the most relatable and humorous character in the series on Reddit, appreciating Emma as the sole unproblematic figure.
In her personal life, Broadway was romantically involved with Tanner Buchanan from Cobra Kai in 2019. Buchanan disclosed on the Anna Faris Is Unqualified podcast in 2021 that their relationship dated back to their teenage years. Despite a brief split in 2015 due to his behavior, they reconciled, but eventually went their separate ways. Buchanan later proposed to his Cobra Kai colleague, Mary Mouser, leaving Broadway seemingly single at present.
Don’t miss Gen V streaming on Prime Video.
