A tragic incident unfolded in Crete, where a two-month-old baby boy from Finland lost his life while on vacation with his parents. Greek authorities are investigating the possibility that the infant was accidentally smothered by his parents while sleeping between them in a hotel room in the village of Kalyves near Chania.

The authorities were alerted to the situation when the Chania Public Health Authority received a report of the baby’s death in a rented room. Emergency services, including the Chania Police Department, paramedics, and a forensic doctor, responded to the scene, but unfortunately, the baby was found lifeless on the bed.
