A British father of four passed away in Spain within a day of arriving for a holiday, prompting his family to express concerns about the initial investigation by Spanish authorities. Nathan Osman, 30, from Pontypridd, Rhondda Cyon Taf, traveled to Benidorm with friends in September 2024. Tragically, his body was discovered at the base of a cliff just hours after his arrival.
Despite his family’s dissatisfaction with the Spanish police’s handling of the case, the authorities eventually reopened the investigation at their insistence. However, the investigation was closed again, with law enforcement determining that Osman’s death was accidental.
Approaching the one-year anniversary of Nathan’s passing, his brother Lee Evans spoke out, declaring that the family remains steadfast in seeking justice for his brother, asserting that Nathan has not been given the consideration he deserves.
Osman’s family believes there is compelling evidence suggesting foul play, suggesting that he may have been targeted, robbed, and taken to the remote location where his body was discovered. They suspect he could have been abducted while returning to his hotel, with subsequent attempts to use his bank card and potential CCTV footage capturing his movements.
Disputing the authorities’ conclusion of accidental death, Mr. Evans criticized the lack of concrete evidence supporting their claims. As they brace for the emotional challenges of the upcoming anniversary, the family feels abandoned and appeals for assistance in their quest for truth.
Undeterred by setbacks, the family intends to explore legal avenues further to uncover the circumstances surrounding Nathan’s demise, reaching out to other families who have faced similar tragedies abroad.
