Popular singer and songwriter Ed Sheeran, known for hits like “Thinking Out Loud” and boasting an estimated wealth of £370 million, has opened up about his fondness for budget-friendly vacations at Butlin’s resort.
Sharing a memorable experience, Ed disclosed that one of his best trips was to the iconic Minehead resort in January for a stag do. Disguised as Roy Wood from Wizzard, he expressed his excitement about the visit, describing Butlin’s as an incredible place.
Reflecting on the themed party, Ed revealed, “For my mate Doug’s stag, we visited Butlin’s for an Eighties-themed weekend and enjoyed performances by tribute bands Pearl Scam and Metal Militia.”
Dressed as Roy Wood with a big beard and long white hair, Ed humorously recounted his wild time at the resort, praising Butlin’s vibrant atmosphere. He expressed a desire for a Nineties-themed event, coincidentally happening soon, with tributes to Queen and Oasis.
In contrast, Ed shared a unique experience from his own stag do before marrying Cherry. The singer had a Wolf Of Wall Street-themed bash involving shots on a small prop plane, arranged by his friends.
Ed, who tied the knot with Cherry in 2019 and shares two daughters with her, recreated moments from their early relationship in his music video for the new song “Camera” from his album “Play,” released on 12 September.
Looking ahead, Ed plans to tour with his latest album internationally and intends to relocate to the United States to be closer to his family as his career progresses.
