Disney+ has implemented a significant price increase for its streaming service, impacting new subscribers. The adjustment, effective as of September 30, sees all subscription plans up to £24 more expensive. This move follows a similar action by Netflix earlier this year.
Monthly fees have risen by £1 for Standard and Standard with Ads, now priced at £9.99 and £5.99 respectively. The Premium Plan has seen a £2 increase, now costing £14.99 per month. Annual subscriptions are also affected, with the Standard plan jumping by £10 to £99.90 annually, and the Premium plan rising by £20 to £149.90 per year.
Existing subscribers are advised to monitor any notifications from Disney regarding these changes. According to Disney’s terms and conditions, users will receive a 30-day notice before any price adjustments take effect.
Disney+ has expanded its content library with several new additions recently. Shows like Tempest, Swiped, Sneaker Wars Adidas vs Puma, and Murdaugh Death in the Family have debuted or are set to arrive. All’s Fair will be available in November, and Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 2 is scheduled for December 10.
A recent addition to Disney+ is Chad Powers, described as “hilarious” by The Mirror’s Hayley Anderson. The show has garnered positive reviews, with anticipation for a potential second season. Fans of Glen Powell, known for his work with Sydney Sweeney, have praised the comedy series.
Disney+ subscribers can look forward to a variety of new and engaging content, as the streaming service continues to enhance its offerings for viewers.
