Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen expressed frustration over receiving unsolicited beauty advice. Frederiksen, 48, shared on Instagram her encounter with a plastic surgeon who suggested fixing a feature on her nose shortly after returning from a trip to Ukraine, where she faced air raid sirens amid the ongoing conflict.

In her post, Frederiksen revealed receiving numerous messages criticizing her appearance over the years, including comments about her teeth, hair, and a supposed ‘wart’ on her nose, along with suggestions for Botox. She posted a screenshot of the plastic surgeon’s message but did not disclose the sender’s identity.

Asserting her self-confidence, Frederiksen responded, stating she is content with her body and does not require a male plastic surgeon’s opinion on it. The Social Democrat leader is Denmark’s second female prime minister and is currently serving her third term, making her one of Europe’s longest-standing leaders.

Frederiksen has stood firm against U.S. President Donald Trump’s interests in Greenland, a Danish territory, and has shown support for Ukraine in the face of Russian aggression. Emphasizing her acceptance of her own body, she urged others to engage in more meaningful conversations rather than focusing on her physical appearance.

The prime minister expressed feeling indignant about unsolicited beauty advice and extended empathy to those dealing with societal pressures regarding physical imperfections. She urged individuals to engage in discussions on substantial matters rather than commenting on her appearance.
