Luke Littler has made public his future plans following a surprising split announcement before the World Grand Prix. The 18-year-old terminated his association with ZXF Sports Management, a partnership that started when he was just 13, right before his initial match in Leicester.
In a dazzling performance on Tuesday night, “Cool Hand Luke” triumphed over Gian van Veen, marking a spectacular victory. Post his win, Littler expressed to Sportsboom, “I am venturing out on my own. I believe it’s the right move for me.”
He mentioned, “While I have the support of my family and Martin [Foulds] has done his part, I feel it’s time to go solo in handling bookings for flights, hotels, and other arrangements.”
Moreover, Littler revealed his collaboration with Garry Plummer from Target for assistance, expressing optimism about the future direction.
Regarding the split, Littler thanked ZXF Sports and Martin Foulds for their contributions to his career over the past five years. He acknowledged the valuable guidance and support received but emphasized the need for a new representation as his career progresses.
Although a recent social media post hinted at retirement, it was later clarified as a promotional stunt for an upcoming video game. Following his successful debut at the World Grand Prix, Littler shared his satisfaction with Sky Sports, stating, “I am delighted with my performance. I believe I played better than last year.”
Reflecting on his match against Gian, Littler expressed his fiery determination and commended his opponent for a challenging game. He looks forward to the next rounds with enthusiasm, aiming for further success.
