Co-op is gearing up to unveil 11 fresh stores this week, covering various locations from Bristol to the Scottish Highlands. Notably, Co-op marks its presence as the inaugural permanent retailer at the new Brent Cross Town development in London.

The upcoming store launches encompass a blend of brand-new outlets, franchise-managed stores, and revamped locations. This initiative forms part of the company’s commitment to invest in over 200 new and refurbished stores by 2024/25.

This recent announcement adds to the 50 stores that Co-op confirmed would open in November and December, just in time for the festive season. Co-op is advocating for business-rate reform in the upcoming Budget to support retail enterprises.

Kate McCrae, Co-op Operations Director, emphasized the company’s dedication to establishing local stores that serve as community hubs, enriching local life and meeting community needs effectively. She highlighted Co-op’s nationwide investment in stores and communities to support the future of the high street and contribute to local job creation and support for British farmers and suppliers.

Moreover, Co-op has introduced 200 new personalized offers, enhanced discounts, member-exclusive games, reward mechanisms, and exclusive deals as part of its membership scheme. Shoppers stand to save over £90 across October, November, and December, with changing monthly prizes and reward opportunities for in-store and online purchases.

Rachel Halter, Director of Membership at Co-op, emphasized the company’s commitment to delivering added value to its members daily. By expanding personalized offers, boosting discounts, and enhancing member benefits, Co-op aims to ensure that members enjoy significant savings on their preferred products and ranges, reinforcing its commitment to delivering exceptional value and rewarding loyalty.
