A woman is cautioning against undergoing dental procedures in Turkey after her distressing experience left her with a disease and a damaged nose. Leanne Abeyance is facing ongoing pain in her mouth and nose, along with breathing difficulties, following a flesh-eating virus she contracted during a ‘Turkey Teeth’ treatment. Originally from Telford in Shropshire, the 41-year-old encountered additional complications such as a collapsed septum and unresolved dental issues that required private treatment after the NHS deemed them cosmetic.

Leanne’s initial positive perception of her ‘Turkey Teeth’ procedure in 2009 drastically changed when one of her veneers fell out during an outing, leading to subsequent problems and corrective measures. Despite anticipating improved aesthetics, her visit to a Turkish clinic last year resulted in multiple extractions, bone grafts, and other procedures that left her in excruciating pain and discomfort.

Subsequently, Leanne faced a series of challenges with her temporary teeth, experiencing frequent breakages and escalating health issues, including sinusitis and nose bleeds. Numerous hospital visits and failed treatments later, it was discovered that her implants were causing serious complications, including a necrotizing fasciitis infection, a rare and severe consequence of dental procedures.

Struggling to find effective medical intervention, Leanne is now seeking a private surgeon to address her deteriorating condition, which has drained her finances and left her in dire need of assistance. In a bid to fund necessary corrective surgeries, she has launched a Go Fund Me campaign to cover the expenses, emphasizing the urgent need for professional intervention to alleviate her suffering and potentially life-threatening complications.
