Following Virgin Media, Vodafone ranks second with average download speeds of 175Mbps, with BT (EE) coming in third place. TalkTalk lags behind in the rankings with an average speed of under 95Mbps.
The average download speeds for the top UK ISPs are as follows:

– Vodafone: 175.1Mbps

– Sky Broadband: 113.6Mbps
– TalkTalk: 94.7Mbps
In terms of upload speeds, crucial for users sending large files or working remotely, Vodafone excels with an average upload speed of 83.6Mbps, outperforming Virgin Media, which holds the second position with 47.2Mbps.
SpeedGo reaffirmed these results, stating that Virgin Media provided the fastest broadband internet in the United Kingdom in 2025, with an average download speed of 256.5Mbps, and Vodafone achieved the highest average upload speed at 83.6Mbps.
