“Trump and Melania Attend Lavish State Banquet at Windsor Castle”

During their official visit, US President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania graced the opulent state banquet at Windsor Castle, hosted by King Charles and Queen Camilla, creating a splendid and elegant atmosphere.

Among the distinguished guests were the Prince and Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton seated next to Mr. Trump, and Charles positioned to his left. Notable attendees included Rupert Murdoch, Elena Murdoch, Morgan Sweeney, Scott Bessent, Keir Starmer, Marco and Jeanette Rubio, and Sir Stephen Schwarzman.

Months of meticulous preparation went into planning the banquet, ensuring every detail, from table settings to the exquisite French menu, met the highest standards. The grand event took place in St George’s Hall, the castle’s largest room, spanning 180ft in length and 29.5ft in width.

The elaborate table was adorned with vibrant blooms in pink, purple, and yellow hues, complemented by 139 candles, 1,452 pieces of polished cutlery, and a set of five glasses per guest for various beverages. Each place setting featured napkins folded into Dutch bonnets, precisely spaced 18 inches apart.

To efficiently serve the 160 guests, 19 stations were strategically set up around the hall, each manned by four staff members to ensure a seamless dining experience. Special dietary requests and preferences of high-profile guests were meticulously noted and executed.

Before the guests’ arrival, King Charles and Queen Camilla admired the floral arrangements and inspected the table setup, expressing their appreciation to the dedicated household staff responsible for the event’s flawless execution.

As per tradition, the menu showcased dishes reflecting the guests’ country of origin, prepared by selected chefs. The impressive wine selection included renowned labels such as Wiston Estate, Domaine Bonneau de Martray, Ridge Vineyards, and Pol Roger, a favorite of Sir Winston Churchill.

Following the meal, guests were treated to vintage Port and Cognac, paying tribute to Mr. Trump’s presidential number and his Scottish heritage. Additionally, a special bottle of Bowmore Queen’s Cask 1980, commemorating Queen Elizabeth’s Golden Jubilee, was presented.

A bespoke cocktail, the Transatlantic Whisky Sour, was a unique addition to the traditional offerings, symbolizing the strong bond between the UK and the US. Despite the exquisite array of beverages, President Trump, a teetotaler, likely opted out, remaining true to his abstinent stance on alcohol consumption.

The event celebrated the enduring camaraderie between the two nations, marked by impeccable hospitality and culinary finesse, in a setting of regal splendor and refined elegance.
