“Prime Video Announces UEFA Champions League Schedule”

Published on

Amazon has released its schedule for broadcasting UEFA Champions League matches for the remainder of the year in anticipation of the upcoming fixtures. Each Tuesday during a Champions League gameweek, one match will be shown exclusively on Prime Video, allowing Prime members to watch the games at no additional cost.

The first game of the League Phase on Prime Video will feature Europa League champions Tottenham Hotspur facing Villarreal on September 16, marking Thomas Frank’s European debut. Subsequently, on September 30, viewers can tune in to watch Liverpool’s opening match against Galatasaray.

For football enthusiasts without a Prime Video subscription, the first two Champions League games can be viewed for free through a 30-day trial. Following the trial period, a subscription is priced at £8.99 per month until canceled. Alternatively, an annual subscription is available for £95, offering a savings of £12.88 compared to the monthly option and granting access to Prime’s complete 2025/26 Champions League coverage.

By subscribing to Prime Video, viewers can also enjoy upcoming matches such as Arsenal vs Atlético Madrid on October 21 and Trent Alexander-Arnold’s return to Anfield on November 4 as he faces his former club, Liverpool, after his move to Real Madrid.

Chelsea, the Club World Cup winners, will clash with Barcelona on November 25, followed by Arne Slot’s Reds taking on last season’s finalists Inter Milan at the San Siro on December 9. Additionally, Prime Video has announced that the Inter Milan vs Arsenal match will be aired exclusively on January 20.

Prime Video is showcasing one UEFA Champions League fixture per gameweek for free to Amazon Prime members or those signing up for a 30-day free trial.

Leading the Champions League coverage on Prime Video is Gabby Logan, alongside former players turned pundits including Wayne Rooney, Clarence Seedorf, and Daniel Sturridge. Jon Champion and Alan Shearer will provide live commentary, with Gabriel Clarke and Alex Aljoe reporting from inside the stadiums.

TNT Sports will broadcast the majority of European fixtures not featured on Prime Video, such as Bayern Munich vs Chelsea on September 17, Man City vs Napoli on September 18, and Newcastle United vs Barcelona on September 18. TNT Sports is also the UK home for the UEFA Europa League and UEFA Conference League, commencing on September 24 and October 2, respectively.

For European football not covered by Prime Video, viewers can access TNT Sports through a Discovery+ Premium subscription priced at £30.99 per month. It can also be added to a Sky Sports, Virgin Media, or EE TV package starting from £18, with options like the Sky £35 Essential TV and Sky Sports bundle available.
