Ekin-Su Culculoglu has drawn inspiration from Coleen Rooney’s Wagatha Christie strategy to uncover unfaithful partners. The Love Island personality has gone to great lengths to expose those betraying her trust by setting traps with fabricated information.
This tactic, famously utilized by Coleen, involved detective work to identify the source of leaked stories about her and her family by strategically planting false narratives. In a notable social media post, Coleen accused fellow WAG Rebekah Vardy of being the culprit behind the leaks, leading to a high-profile legal dispute dubbed Wagatha Christie, a clever play on Agatha Christie’s detective novels.
Explaining her reasoning for employing similar methods in her relationships, Ekin-Su stated, “I don’t trust everyone. I test them first. I deliver fake stories, and if it leaks, I know they’re seeking attention. I apply the same strategy with friends because you can never be too sure. Coleen Rooney was clever in doing that.”
During the National Television Awards event, Ekin opened up about her romantic life post-breakup with dancer Curtis Pritchard in May, humorously mentioning, “I’m in a relationship with myself – it’s great. Me and myself, we take ourselves on walks, we kiss all the time… Jokes aside, I’ve had a few dates. It’s been fun. Raya [the celebrity dating app] is amazing.”
Previously involved with fellow Love Island contestant Davide Sanclimenti from the 2022 series, Ekin and Davide parted ways shortly after leaving the villa amid cheating allegations.
In a recent announcement, it was revealed that Ekin-Su will be featured in a new reality series on Netflix. The 31-year-old is set to appear on Inside: USA, a show created by the UK YouTube group Sidemen, premiering on September 21. The series, which has seen success in the UK with two seasons, will include Ekin alongside various US celebrities and content creators, such as Selling Sunset’s Breana “Bre” Tiesi.
Ekin, who has also made appearances on Celebrity Big Brother and the US version of The Traitors, hinted at an upcoming project, expressing, “I’ve been busy working hard. I just returned from Venice, and now I’m off to America. I’m exhausted, but life is about dedication. You have to seize opportunities. Something exciting is on the horizon in a few months. It’s not a reality show, it’s a different venture.”
