Sky has introduced new channels for its viewers without any additional cost. These channels, known as FAST (Free Ad-supported Streaming Television), offer a variety of content including sports, documentaries, and art. The six new services are accessible on devices such as Sky Glass Gen 2, Sky Glass Air, and Sky Stream boxes, as well as older Sky Q gadgets through the Xumo Play app.
Users do not need to update or retune their devices as the new channels are automatically included in the latest update. The channels cover a range of interests, from sports to animal lovers and art enthusiasts.
For sports fans, there are three new channels: Sky Sports Classics, Sky Sports Vault, and Sky Sports Stories. Each channel features different sports content, including iconic moments and documentaries.
Additionally, there is a channel called Pick Monkey Rescue for animal lovers, showcasing episodes of the Monkey Life series. Emergency 24/7 is dedicated to emergency-related shows like Highway Cops and Air Ambulance ER, promising intense drama.
Art aficionados can enjoy Sky Artist of The Year, which broadcasts programs like Portrait Artist of the Year and Landscape Artist of the Year. These channels can be easily accessed through voice search on the remote control.
Not only Sky, but Virgin Media has also launched two new free channels – British Screen Classics and wedotv movies – offering a wide selection of movies. These channels are available on Virgin TV 360, Stream, or V6 boxes.
British Screen Classics airs films and TV shows from ITV Studios and Studio Canal, while wedotv movies boasts a collection of over 500 movies across various genres. Viewers can enjoy a diverse range of content without any extra charges.
