In a disturbing incident captured on video, a caregiver at a nursery is seen forcefully grabbing a toddler’s arm and yelling obscenities at the child. The three-year-old boy, allegedly mistreated at KinderCare Learning Centre in Kentucky, has been withdrawn from the facility by his mother, Brittany Farley, after the video of the incident went viral.
An eyewitness who recorded the video stated they had witnessed previous instances of yelling at the nursery. Brittany Farley expressed shock upon realizing that the distressed child in the video was her son. She recounted her panic upon recognizing his cry and shoes in the footage.
Farley mentioned concerns about other children possibly suffering trauma under the caregiver’s supervision. She recalled her son claiming to have been “smacked” about a year ago when he first started at the nursery. Although initially dismissing it as a child’s imagination due to the absence of physical marks, Farley raised the issue with nursery staff.
Expressing her desire for the caregiver to be banned from working with children, Farley emphasized the importance of child safety. KinderCare acknowledged the incident, stating that the caregiver involved is no longer employed by the center and that they are cooperating with the child’s family and state authorities.
The childcare center affirmed its commitment to child safety and condemned the caregiver’s behavior. While the police have chosen not to prosecute the worker after reviewing the case, the incident has sparked concerns about the well-being of children in childcare facilities.
