“David Malukas Leads Speedy Practice at Ontario Indy”

Published on

David Malukas set the pace during the practice session at the Ontario Honda Dealers Indy in Markham with a speedy lap time of 1 minute and 14.194 seconds in the second training session of the day. The qualifying session is scheduled for the evening.

Following Malukas, Alex Palou secured the second-best time with a lap time of 1:14.560, and Dennis Hauger claimed the third spot with a time of 1:14.592 navigating the challenging Markham downtown road course.

The event faced a setback as the organizers had to cancel the initial day of track sessions due to incomplete course construction and pending safety inspections.

This year marks the first time Markham is hosting the race, which was previously held at Toronto’s Exhibition Place since its inception in 1986. Palou also impressed with the fastest lap time during the morning’s first practice session, completing the circuit in 1:14.9915.
