A deadly Russian missile strike in Ukraine’s Kharkiv region claimed the lives of 10 individuals on Tuesday, as confirmed by Ukrainian officials. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy denounced the attack, which targeted a bustling area in Pechenihy with essential services and residential buildings. The aftermath of the assault was captured in images showing destruction, burning vehicles, and emergency personnel aiding the injured.

Governor Oleh Syniehubov reported that 17 people sustained injuries in the attack, with significant damage inflicted on 10 private residences, a café, a post office, a store, and multiple vehicles. According to Ukraine’s Prosecutor General’s Office, preliminary findings suggest that Russia deployed two small Banderol cruise missiles in the strike.

Meanwhile, Ukraine launched a large-scale drone offensive against Moscow and its environs, deploying 620 drones in one of Kyiv’s major air assaults on the region. Russian forces intercepted 180 drones over Moscow, with reports of some crashing sites and limited details on casualties. The drones targeted various locations, including a warehouse of the Russian e-commerce firm Wildberries, resulting in minor damage.

Additionally, Ukraine’s drone attacks extended to other Russian-controlled regions, including Crimea, with power disruptions reported in several areas. In response to British drone support for Ukraine, Russia issued a warning to Britain, cautioning of repercussions for backing what it labeled as Kiev’s “terrorist machinery.” The British Defence Ministry reiterated its support for Ukraine, affirming its commitment to supplying necessary equipment for defense against Russia’s incursion.

Britain previously pledged to provide 150,000 drones to Ukraine by the end of 2026 as part of a substantial funding package. The situation remains tense as the conflict between Russia and Ukraine escalates, with both sides engaging in military actions with far-reaching implications.
