Former Conservative Aide Accused of Bullying Amid Party Switch

Published on

A recent official parliamentary investigation has uncovered that a former Conservative aide, who switched to the Reform party during the Tory conference, engaged in bullying and harassment towards a colleague. Robbie Lammas, who previously worked under then-party chairman Richard Holden MP, was found to have bullied a junior staff member following a confrontation last year. The investigation by Parliament’s Independent Complaints and Grievance Scheme revealed that Lammas abused his authority, causing distress to the woman and creating a hostile environment.

Witnesses reported that Lammas raised his voice, made false accusations against the staffer, and made intimidating statements. Lammas, a former special adviser in the Conservative Government, announced his defection to Reform UK during the Conservative Party Conference in Manchester. Subsequently, several former colleagues accused him of inappropriate behavior, including one individual who claimed Lammas engaged in sexual harassment and sent unsolicited cards to female staff members’ homes.

In response to the allegations, Lammas vehemently denied any misconduct, attributing the complaint to a vendetta orchestrated by CCHQ and Richard Holden. Reform UK has been contacted for comment on the matter.
