The dreadful incident unfolded when Julie Pacey, a mother of two, was discovered dead in her home in Grantham, Lincolnshire. Her teenage daughter made the grim discovery after returning from school on September 26, 1996. Julie had been sexually assaulted and strangled with a wire cord, leaving the community stunned by the targeted and premeditated nature of the attack.
