A fresh batch of revealing documents related to the probe into Jeffrey Epstein has surfaced, shedding light on the involvement of prominent figures in US politics. Peter Thiel, a billionaire known for his right-wing activism and instrumental role in JD Vance’s political ascent, was identified in the recently disclosed records. Thiel, a co-founder of PayPal and the head of the controversial spy tech firm Palantir, was noted to have had a lunch meeting with Epstein based on entries from the sex offender’s calendar in November 2017.
The newly released documents also implicated other significant figures in the spheres of technology and politics associated with Donald Trump, such as Elon Musk and Steve Bannon.
Born in Frankfurt, Germany, in 1967, Thiel relocated to the US with his family as a young child. He later acquired US citizenship and pursued a degree in philosophy at Stanford University. His conservative leanings were evident early on, as he co-established the Stanford Review, a publication with conservative and libertarian viewpoints, during his college years.
A vocal critic of multiculturalism and liberalism, Thiel authored “The Diversity Myth” and aligns with the Republican Party. In 2017, he married his partner, Matt Danzeisen. With a staggering net worth of $26.1 billion, Thiel amassed his wealth through ventures like PayPal, where he served as CEO until its acquisition by eBay in 2002.
Subsequently, Thiel assumed leadership roles in various tech and venture capital enterprises, including Palantir, and notably became an early investor in Facebook. Known for his support of far-right ideologies, Thiel has actively backed conservative causes, expressing skepticism towards democracy and endorsing Trump’s presidency.
Thiel’s alliance with Trump led to his inclusion in the President’s executive committee during the transition to power following the 2016 election. He has since made substantial financial contributions to the Republican Party, emerging as a major donor in 2022.
Acknowledged for his influence on JD Vance’s political trajectory, Thiel mentored Vance after their initial meeting at a venture capital event in 2011. Thiel played a pivotal role in supporting Vance’s Senate campaign in 2022, including a record-breaking $15 million donation.
While known for his far-right political affiliations, Thiel also exhibits a keen interest in anti-aging pursuits. He disclosed his consumption of human growth hormone pills to combat aging effects and adheres to a paleo diet, avoiding processed foods and sugars while emphasizing fruits, vegetables, and meats. Additionally, Thiel has invested in anti-aging research initiatives.
Amid ongoing scrutiny surrounding Trump’s connections to Epstein, the latest document release implicates close allies of the President. Notably, Epstein’s calendar hinted at a scheduled lunch between Thiel and the sex offender in November 2017, along with a planned breakfast with Steve Bannon in February 2019, shortly before Epstein faced sex trafficking charges involving minors.
According to Epstein’s itinerary, Elon Musk was tentatively set for a visit to Epstein’s island in December 2014. However, the documents do not confirm whether these interactions actually took place.
